Hey everyone and welcome to my Blog! At the moment I'm not quite sure what is going on or what to do with this Blog thing.... so, for now i'll just give a brief intro of myself!
My name is Nikki Truss (Full name: Nicola Elizabeth Catherine Truss-Sargent, its embarassing I know!) but I'm also know by a variety of friendly nicknames (and some not so friendly nicknames!) such as The Evil Queen of the P.E Hall, Twisty Twin No. 2, Harry Potter, and many more! I am 14 years old and I am in 3rd year at Colaiste an Phiarsaigh, Glanmire, Co. Cork, Republic of Ireland. Of course this doesn't mean that I live in Glanmire, oh no, I live in Cobh, Co. Cork and Midleton, Co. Cork and not forgetting Mogeely, Co. Cork!
You see, rather than living in a suburban house with happily married parents and 2.4 children, my life is slightly more complicated than that. My parents separated when I was two years old, never having been married and being teenage parents, my Dad was 18 and my Mam only 17 when she got pregnant. Things were never as hard as people think though, I was used to having two homes from as young as I could remember. Now, during the week, I live in Cobh with my mother and at the weekend I have the option of going to my father in Mogeely or my grandmother in Midleton.
I have blonde hair which of course results in many tragically unfunny jokes, brown eyes are hidden behind my odd shaped glasses (they don't exactly help with the bookish, nerdy side I'm often know to display), but of course its not all bad once you get to see inside this small package (5'3" and I'm still waiting for these so-called teenage growth spurts!) there is a very big and strage personality with green stripes also known as George. The other people at school and at my drama club have yet to experience the extent of my weirdness, but I'm sure they wont be completely surprised!
Of course I should probably try to give few more details about my appearance and other shallow things such as how much money I have, or how many friends I have, but instead I'll just tell you like a deranged Miss World contestant that these things are almost worthless to me and all I care about is world peace or saving the African rhino or whatever. Notice I say almost with my fingers crossed because as much as I'd like to pretend, I'm not a saint, or even close for that matter!
And on that dramtic note I take my leave and because it's Valentines Day I will leave you with a quote from one of my my favourite romantic poems, He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven by WB Yeats -"I have spread my dreams under your feet, tread softly because you tread on my dreams"
I'll Love you and Leave you,
Nikki XoxoX
